    The Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ekene Ogugua, has underscored the Soludo administration’s unwavering commitment to providing equitable access to quality education across every community in the state.
    Speaking while receiving the Oroma Etiti Anam Education Committee on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Education, Awka, Dr. Ogugua commended the delegation for demonstrating a strong commitment to the educational development of their community.
    He emphasized that Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo remains focused on ensuring that no child is left behind in the state’s education transformation agenda. He urged the community to support government efforts by ensuring that every school-age child is enrolled in school while promoting a renewed appreciation for the value of education.
    The Commissioner also urged the community to leverage its town union structures to address cases of school land encroachment, stressing that safeguarding educational facilities is a collective responsibility. He assured the delegation that Oroma Etiti Anam would continue to benefit from government educational interventions and programmes.
    Earlier, the President-General of Oroma Etiti Anam, Mr. Charles Nchezor, congratulated Dr. Ogugua on his appointment and said the committee visited to discuss educational development initiatives and areas of collaboration with the Ministry.
    He also sought the government’s support for the establishment of a Smart School in the community, intervention in the challenge of school land encroachment, and the recruitment of qualified indigenous teachers residing in the area to address teacher shortages and ensure continuity in teaching and learning.
    The meeting ended with both parties expressing optimism that sustained collaboration between the Ministry and the community would strengthen educational development and advance Governor Soludo’s vision of accessible, quality, and inclusive education across Anambra State.
