No School will be left out, equity will run its course in posting teachers to schools – Commissioner

The Commissioner of Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma Udeh has assured there will be equity in the posting of teachers to schools across the state. The Commissioner stated this while interacting with members of Akpo Development Association, ADA, in her office at Jerome Udorji Secretariate, Awka.

Equity will play a major role in posting of teachers under the 2022 teachers recruitment exercise, no school will be left behind, she stated. The Commissioner also applauded Akpo Development Association and Akpo indigenes for revamping Akpo Community Secondary School, adding that town unions and communities should collaborate with the government to get education in the state to an enviable height.

In his address, Nze Caius Dimakunne, the Chairman of Akpo Development Association appreciated the government for the determination to restructure the state’s education sector and for the success of 2022 teachers recruitment exercise.
He called for the posting of teachers to Akpo Community Secondary school, adding the dearth of government teachers as a challenge facing the school.

He stated that the association through some of its members set out to revamp the School when they saw the deplorable state it has fallen into. Nze Dimakunne listed walling of the school, renovation of classroom blocks, donation of a gigantic generator, and employment of PTA teachers as some of the things the community has done to revamp the school.
