Ebonesie Progressive Union calls for adequate motivation for teachers in public schools

Ebonesie Progressive Union, Awka has called for adequate motivation for teachers in the state to ensure effective service delivery in public schools. This call was made when the union visited the Commissioner of Education, Prof Ngozi chuma-Udeh in her office at Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, receiving the union, stated that the Mr Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo is committed to teachers’ welfare. Mr Governor is determined to improve the education sector and learning conditions in the state.

He wants every child in the state to have access to quality education,hence teachers welfare would be considered to ensure that effective learning takes place in classrooms, she added.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Union, Prof Dennis Aribodor while commending the state government for following a competitive process for recruitment of qualified teachers in the 2022 teachers recruitment exercise, enjoined the state to go a step further by providing adequate motivation for teachers.

He urged the state to improve learning conditions and infrastructure in public schools to ensure effective service delivery in the sector.
